CHUNG DO WARRIORS SPECIAL NEEDS TAEKWONDO

Our instructors are experienced in working with individuals with special needs due to cognitive and physical challenges and have partnered with Holland CBI to help these individuals grow. Starting in February we will be offering this program year round to the public!

This program is designed for special needs kids and adults and is designed in a way that promotes confidence and empowerment to individuals with physical and mental challenges. The purpose of this class is to show that no matter the person, everyone has their own power and are capable of anything that they set their mind to. Through this program students will learn basic concepts of Taekwondo, apply them for rank testing, and compete in Special organized tournaments, and more importantly learn about the power they have within them!

For this program students must be able to stand on their own with or without the aid of a walker, cane, or crutch. Family members and/or assistants are allowed on the floor to help if necessary.

Open Mat Sparring

Fridays at 6:15pm

Free for current New Heights members, $5 for non members

Open mat sparring is the perfect opportunity to get a little extra sparring practice in while training in a safe and friendly environment. Students of all schools and styles are welcome to participate provided they follow all rules and regulations. Safety is our number one priority so please read the rules and fill out the safety release before participating.

Bo/Sticks Class

Our Bo and sticks class is a fun and unique weapons program that introduces students to various styles of martial arts that focus on using a bo (long staff) and sticks. In this class students will learn methods of training with the bo including traditional forms, freestyle/tricking forms, partner drills, and no contact sparring. 

ages 8+

Saturday 12:30-1:30
